Whole Foods In Oklahoma City
Whole Foods announces OKC date. If you've been looking forward to having what many parts of the country already have, a local Whole Foods Market in Oklahoma City, your wait is almost over. Whole Foods Market at Western and Classen (6001 N Western Ave. 73118) will open on Thursday, October 12, 2011 at 8 a.m., the company said.
Vice president of marketing and communications for the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber, Cynthia Reid, said from the looks of things, such as the recent openings of The Outlet Shoppes at Oklahoma City and Sunflower Farmers Market, Whole Foods will be received with open arms as residents are always willing to try something new.
Personally, I think it'll be a nice addition. Some of their offerings will include Oklahoma-raised grass-fed beef, local goat cheese, organic produce and more than 50 types of antipasti and olives. My friend calls the place "Whole Paycheck". I guess I agree that they can be pricy but the quality is really good - at least it has been at other locations I've shopped at.
The market will also serve hearth-fired, gourmet pizzas and made-to-order dishes with a call ahead option available. All in all it sounds good.
The guys in the Nissan service dept. are always getting these big spreads, maybe I'll pick off theirs if they get something soon!
If you're looking for a job, you can apply for open positions as they become available at www.wholefoodsmarket.com/careers/.
