What Drivers Need to Know About the New 2016 Nissan Titan

The 2016 Nissan Titan offers a whole new look and feel for those who liked previous versions, but felt they were lacking in one or more ways. The goal of the engineers was to create a vehicle that could bridge the HD segment and the 1/2 ton segment, while offering special features for light-duty drivers. The truck is capable of handling what most drivers throw at it with ease, and there are some fun tidbits that anyone considering this vehicle should know.
This vehicle is built for hauling and towing, and Nissan has equipped it with bigger brakes to ensure it is able to handle these tasks. Purchase the Titan XD and receive ventilated brakes, 14.2 inch ones in the front and 14.4 inch in the rear. The rear brakes are bigger than those seen in the F-250 Super Duty, while the front and rear brakes in the GM 2500 HD models are smaller.
Most trucks in the light-duty or 1/2 ton class are lacking gooseneck hitch mounts. Of those that come equipped with this type of mount, it's typically added aftermarket, rather than at the factory. Most HD trucks and one-ton trucks come with this equipment, yet every Titan XD has a gooseneck hitch mount. Drivers are sure to appreciate this.
Non-XD models don't come with the same front-end as the XD, and drivers are sure to notice this change. The XD models need the updated front end to accommodate the Cummins engine found under the hood. It's bigger than those seen in other powerplants, as it includes dual batteries and an intercooler.
Nissan opted to use the Asin six-speed transmission found in the Ram 3500, which has a 30,000 pound rating. Fred Diaz, the sales and marketing senior vice president for Nissan, formerly worked at Chrysler. It may be this is why they opted to include this particular unit.
Consider the Nissan Titan XD when it's time to purchase a new truck. With so many great features incorporated into one model, drivers are sure to fall in love with what this truck has to offer. Check it out today, as you may find that you fall in love and want to own one for yourself.
